thirst

The skewed curtains let in a sliver of daylight.
Casting light upon exposed skin.
Sounds of teddy p on repeat
Softly playing in the back ground. Turn down the lights, come a lil closer....
Sheets rustle. Eyes connect and smiles emerge.
Words unspoken, touches taken lead to passionate embraces.
They go at it as if its the first time in a long time
but it has only been a couple mins.
She feeds him and he eats, drinks and eats some more.
Thirst & hunger insatiable!

still

I close my eyes
To block out the image of you!
But my mind projects on my eyelids
the reflection of you!

I open them
And though there's a beautiful sunset
My mind again deceives me.

I'm alone here but I see you
Hear you say my name
Smell your skin
Feel your touch
Taste you!

I seek shelter
But to no avail
I can't escape this,
I can't deny.
This!

But how do I?
I can't continue this!
For me & to you
I must admit

I am weak!

I still love you!

i see

I see my destiny in you!
When I look at you
I see more than a beautiful face
Thick curve hips. Slightly glossed lips.
I see my destiny in you!
Deep below the surface,
Lays a connection so strong
One that lasts so long.
You are a one night stand.
An every night stand, even a daytime stand.
A lifetime stand!
Because I made you my wife for life.
We keep it fresh like moutain morning breeze!
We still please & tease
Each other! My wife, my life, my love.

I look into your eyes and see me.
Not just a reflection. Me.
You are of me.
Made from me, by me. In the night time when you had a long day,
I lay you upon my chest, I rub your back and soothe you to sleep.
I hear your soft voice as you turn & toss. But just my touch comforts you back to your slumber!
But I can't sleep just yet, I make this promise to always protect, be there for, guide & love you !
As I look at you I see me, my future, my child!

I love you both!

Parallels

Sometimes in life, searching or not, one comes upon something that may disguise it self as love, when indeed its far from.
But the feeling is so overwhelming that you give into it, the temptation, the illusion, the intrigue. Not listening to the clarity of mind but to the flutters of heart.
Thinking yes this is it! There can be no better love! But as time goes on and reality sets in you realize that what you been thinking, feeling, wanting to believe in, actually isn't!
Love and lust travel in parallels.
Depending which road you take determines where you end up.

Most of the time, the smooth road is not the long road.
Choose carefully. Open your eyes when you open your heart!

Destined

He put the key in and opened the door.
The door to emptiness.
The door to his house. The house that's not yet a home.
For he lived alone.

Sure he had love!
Family love.
Unconditional love.
But a love of his own, someone special to share it with. NO!

Was he destined to be alone or find a love that's pure and true?
Not the loves from the past that changed like the seasons.
A love that had a purpose, a real, true reason.

The type of love that he'd skip work for.
A Love that refreshes you like the sea shore.
The kind of love he'd stand by the alter and take a vow to always love, honor, cherish & respect.

But the silent hall way & un-furnished bedrooms, tell him otherwise.
But his destiny isn't loneliness.
Its family life and success!
With God in his heart,
He knows one day his prayers will be answered!
With a faithful loving wife & kids.

92 at the close of play

A well played inning
The lights faded and the game is called
The crowds gather around, to celebrate.
A well played knock.

Many overs. A few close calls,
but the ‘umpire’ always saw in your favor,
To the dismay of the wicket keeper and his cohorts
You along with the Almighty were the co-captains of our team.

Five strokes played, produced twenty four runs,
and twelve extras.
Captain with a five member team.
Inspiration for many.

When bad weather threatened you were our shelter, grounds keeper.
Keeping us safe, guarding and guiding.
Solid pitch you laid. As you showed us how to protect our stumps, stand our ground.
Not to make un-necessary plays, just the right ones. Meaningful ones.

So to our Captain, teacher, motivator, shelter.
Faithful servant to Him.
Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother & friend.
We Love, Thank and Miss You

Rest in peace MOM. God was ready for his angel to come home.
We will all meet again one day.

Una Chase.

The Box

He arose from his slumber, more like light meditation, he sat on the edge of his cold lonely bed, in a room only illuminated by the alarm clock.
Trying to justify his intentions. On went the lights, into the closet, more so a storage room in the back bedroom he went.
The box was covered with clothes that he no longer used. As he cleared the box top, the dust tickled his nostrils causing two quick sneezes.
He sat on the floor staring at the box that he mentally discarded but physically hid.
He got up, headed to the kitchen, stretched up got the bottle of 1919 and a shot glass. No, he needed a bigger glass.
He poured, paused and poured some more. Swirled it around, smelled it then gulped the drink. Nerves settled somewhat he went back to the box. Cutter in hand he tore into the thick masking tape.
He hesitantly opened it, removing the stuffing to reveal a metal safe on the bottom.
From the bedroom he heads to the dinner table after topping up the glass with some more nerve stabilizer. Another swig passes his lips.
The chain around his neck held the safe key.
As he opens it he expresses very little as he sees the contents.
Knowing that he placed all those pieces there a long time ago. Awaiting the day that he hoped will eventually reach.
He had spent it for years, giving it to any one who showed the least bit of interest in him. But it was used, abused and taken advantage of. Broken, shattered to bits he ripped it out years ago, hid it till now.
He sat there watching at all the pieces, knowing that after all this time of caution and reluctance, he found, certified, doubled and crossed checked their credentials.
He found the one.
The one who will repair, restore, cherish and protect

His Heart.

he.

my besider

I want u 2 b my besider.
Beside me now
Beside me tomorrow
Beside me forever.

With space & distance between us
I know that this time is trying
But its the long road ahead I see
A couple kids, you and me

I know what true love is
Because of you.
Your love is special
And I'm in love with you

So for now
We'll make do
Because in time
I'll be there right beside you.

waiting

I've heard for much of my life
Don't stress the small stuff
It isn't worth the strife
But ignoring some issues are to tough

Don't bitch about my relationship update
If you are not willing to admit we are soul mates
Secrecy of this love I can no longer approve.
So its either openness or onward I move.

I will practice patience
And keep my silence
As you contemplate what next to do.
Keep in mind this love is true & I Love You.

The MAN

The day is here!
The day The Man takes over.
Barack Obama
Becomes the 44th American president.

There's so much hype around this inauguration.
The first African American to hold the highest office in the land.
Millions flock to the grounds to get a glimpse, be a part of this historic moment.

I understand the significance of it all.
For years 'the black man' has endured slavery, racial injustice & discrimination.

But that was then, granted in some places it continues, this is now.
I believe it's more of a mental slavery that consumes some of todays 'black americans'.

Not being born into such or growing up in the culture of being second class citizen, I'm not subjected to that mentality.

So on this day I'm happy that a black man holds the key to the future for so many, but today is just the beginning.

He has four years to prove himself. Granted the circumstances under which he takes over are not the best, he has a tremendous uphill battle.
I know for there has been a lot placed in his ability to deliver on his promises. I hope that people, all people that have so much hope and faith in this one man, this black man are not disappointed.

So to you Mr President Obama, I wish you all the best.
To the world waiting in baited breath let us let the journey begin.
